The first step is always the hardest..
Thank you for reaching out to Reins of Empowerment Counseling. I am driven by the concept of empowering clients through their traumas. Often, we tend to let our traumas identify us as we try to move forward in our lives. I want to help clients by providing them healthy tools (reins) they can use to overcome their traumas and move forward through life by utilizing the strength they have gained from their experiences rather than allowing those experiences to identify them in a negative way.
About me..
I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice. In 2021, I earned a master’s degree in forensic psychology from Arizona State University and a second master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024 from Capella University followed by gaining her LPCC. I spent 12 years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer until 2020 when family needs at home outweighed my career. I have been a military wife for 15 years and knows how tough it can be living with, supporting, and raising kids in a house with a veteran that struggles with their inner battles. Outside of my practice, my husband and I founded Warhorse Ranch in Steamboat Springs. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, helping out within the community, skiing, spending time with our horses, and expanding my knowledge in mental health.
